Update -
WashU IT is investigating reports from some users that Outlook will not connect or is giving error messages. The issue has been identified as a registry setting which was changing to an incorrect configuration. Technical teams have implemented a policy change to prevent any additional users from being affected by this issue. Instructions are also being sent to the Service Desk teams on how to resolve the issue for any users who had already been impacted. The major incident will remain open until this afternoon while we monitor for any additional reports.

WashU IT is investigating reports from some users that Outlook and/or Teams will not connect or are giving error messages. Technical teams have identified the root cause of the issue and are formulating a plan for a temporary fix. We will be reconvening at 9am on Friday morning to continue working. In the meantime, the Service Desk teams should continue offering Outlook Web Access as a workaround for users whose Outlook client will not connect. If there is additional impact or if the call volume increases unexpectedly on Friday morning, we will reopen the Major Incident call prior to 9am.
